Mixture Dielectric Constants
The mixture dielectic constants describing the relative permittivity data bank is a new part of the Dortmund Data Bank since 2014.
Pure component dielectric constants have been part of the PCP data bank from its start in 1994 but the mixture dielectric constants haven't been collected systematically before approx. 2005 and published until 2014.
The dielectric constants data bank is expected to grow rapidly because the already collected references often contain also mixture dielectric constants.
Dielectric constants are an important information for multiple technical processes which include the use of solvents where the chemical polarity is of outmost importance. Furthermore dielectric constants are needed for compounds used in capacitors and sensors.
