: Cooperation

As shown in the following Figure, DDBST and LTP act as partner organizations under the common roof of CAT (Center for Applied Thermodynamics).

Our partner LTP provides experimental services and consulting.

Instead of conducting it's own research on a broader basis, DDBST cooperates with different institutions:

• Chair of Industrial Chemistry (Prof. Dr. Jürgen Gmehling) at the University of Oldenburg, Germany
• UNIFAC-Consortium (Member) at the University of Oldenburg, Germany
• Thermodynamics Research Unit (TRU, Prof. Deresh Ramjugernath) at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Kwazulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa
• ....

With respect to further education, graduate courses on applied thermodynamics for chemical process simulation as well as introductory and advanced training courses for DDB and DDBSP are conducted by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Gmehling and/or Prof. h.c. Dr. Jürgen Rarey.

Always the latest versions of the different data banks and program packages and a free support are supplied to the Chair of Industrial Chemistry at the University of Oldenburg for teaching as well as research purposes. This collaboration led to the development or further development of group contribution methods like UNIFAC, mod. UNIFAC, PSRK and electrolyte models. The intensive use greatly improves our products reliability, quality, performance and applicability. In addition, numerous suggestions from industry as well as academic customers are incorporated into new versions of DDB and DDBSP.
